Artist

Janet Dake is a visual artist from Versailles, KY. She primarily works with oil paints, focusing her subject matter on portraiture and the human figure. In addition to oil painting, Dake also creates wearable art and is a muralist. In 2020, Dake graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Political Science from the University of Louisville. In addition to her university education, she is a 2014 graduate of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts and was a long-time student of Lexignton painter Susan Gilliam.
